Position Title:
Adult Services Assistant (PT)

Description:
The Hudson Library and Historical Society, a 5-Star Library, is looking for an energetic, creative, customer service-oriented paraprofessional to join our Adult Services Team. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and experience with online media, services and software, and a strong commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Reference Assistance – Answer patron questions, readers’ advisory, catalog and computer use, downloadable eMedia and mobile device usage, database instruction and local history and genealogy support.
  • Assist with innovative, educational and entertainment-based programs.
  • Promote library activities and services through social media tools, troubleshoot basic printer, computer, mobile device and software issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Previous library experience preferred.
  • Proficient with emerging technologies and their application in a library setting.
  • Skilled in assisting customers with a wide variety of hardware and software products.

Salary and Benefits:

This part-time (28 hours/week) position includes regular evening and weekend hours. The hourly rate is $12.25.

Description:
The Hudson Library and Historical Society, a 5-Star Library, is looking for an energetic, creative, customer service-oriented paraprofessional to join our busy Youth Services Team.  The ideal candidate must enjoy working with children, have experience developing and presenting innovative age-appropriate programs, be familiar with children’s literature and be committed to providing high quality customer service and departmental support. This position will include readers’ advisory and public service desk assistance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications

Salary and Benefits:

This part-time (28 hours/week) position includes regular evening and weekend hours. The hourly rate is $12.25.

Youth Services Job Description

 

 

Position Title:
IT Technician II, Hudson Library & Historical Society

Description:
Full-Time position requires the applicant to be able to maintain, troubleshoot and repair hardware and
software. Applicant should have knowledge of active directory, group policy, and basic network
security. Duties: general systems administration including imaging; software installation and
maintenance; technical support for library staff, programs and customers.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or comparable experience.

Skills/Knowledge Required:
• Must have experience with hardware/software maintenance and installation.
• Knowledge of Windows OS10, Server 2012 and above, Active Directory, Group Policy, MSOffice,
basic networks, and media editing software such as: the Adobe Creative Suite and/or Final Cut Pro.
• Familiar with live streaming using software such as Zoom and Open broadcast, best practices
related to audio/video production, and podcasting.
• Additional knowledge a plus: mobile devices such as tablets and Apple products, digital imaging,
audio/visual equipment; 3D printers, WordPress, and VOIP systems.

Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time (38 hrs/week) position with full benefits with a starting salary of $33,000.
