2025 Tax Information

2025 TAX PREPARATION AND RESOURCES:

The Internal Revenue Service announced that the nation’s tax season will start on Monday, January 26, 2026, when the tax agency will begin accepting and processing 2025 tax year returns. The filing deadline will be Wednesday, April 15, 2026. 

FEDERAL TAXES

There will be a limited number of Federal tax forms sent to the Hudson Library & Historical Society (and all other libraries nationwide) this year.

**Update (as of January 22, 2026) federal forms are now available at the 2nd floor Reference desk.

You can obtain copies of additional forms through:

  • IRS.gov/forms – to view and download
  • IRS.gov/orderforms – to order tax products to be delivered by mail (including Form 1099)
  • 1-800-829-3676 – to order tax products to be delivered by mail

OHIO STATE TAXES 

Due to the continued increase of electronic filing, effective for tax year 2025 the Ohio Department of Taxation will no longer be sending bulk quantities of instruction booklets and forms to any 3rd party locations.

R.I.T.A. MUNICIPAL TAX FORMS:

R.I.T.A. forms are no longer available at the library.  Please visit the websites below or contact the Reference desk for assistance in printing these forms.
