On Tuesday, September 22 at 7 p.m. the Hudson Library & Historical Society will host a live virtual streaming event with historian and author Richard Striner, who will discuss his book, Summoned to Glory: The Audacious Life of Abraham Lincoln. In the book, Striner sheds significant new light on Abraham Lincoln, one of the most studied figures in American history.
The Hudson Library’s second annual Tween/Teen Pitch Night competition returns during Hudson’s Global Entrepreneurship Week on Thursday, November 21st at 6:30 pm.
Ten finalists in grades 6-12 will be selected from a pool of online applications to pitch their business ideas to a panel of expert judges in front of an audience. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place cash prizes will be awarded in two age groups – grades 6-8 and grades 9-12. Participants can apply individually or in a group of up to 3 students.
Online applications for this “shark tank” style program will be available beginning Monday, October 7th with a deadline of Monday, November 11th. Finalists will be notified on Monday, November 13th. Click here to apply.
