Friends of the Library

Message to Patrons of the Bookstore

July 2020

We are sorry that the Bookstore will remain closed during this unusual time of COVID-19.

We are not certain when the Bookstore will open, nor when we will be able to receive book
donations from our generous patrons.

Please check back, either at the Bookstore door, on the Library’s webpage or on our
Facebook page, where we will announce when we will reopen.

We appreciate your patience and interest in the Friends of the Hudson Library
and look forward to seeing you in the future.

Sincerely yours,

Lynn Remly, President, Board of Trustees
Friends of the Hudson Library & Historical Society

What We Do

  • Sort and shelve donations received from the community.
  • Conduct regular book sales.
  • Sponsor educational programming and promote reading.
  • Purchase items such as circulating books, computers, printers, and library furniture for public and staff use.
  • Encourage donations to the library.

*PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO COVID-19, The Friends of the Library will not be accepting donations during this time.

The Friends of the Library gratefully accepts donations for book sales. We do not accept: magazines, and encyclopedias. Donated items can be left in the bin outside the book room door at the entrance of the Library. Donate your items to the Friends and we can assure you the reward will be two-fold: The next reader gets enjoyment and the Hudson Library benefits from the proceeds we earn through our book sales. Keep reading and remember us when you turn that last page.
