The library’s very beginning as an association library in 1910 was made possible by the generous support and monetary donations of Caroline Baldwin Babcock and a group of like-minded Hudson residents.
A gift to the library will add to this tradition and is an investment in the future of the Hudson community and its citizens.

You can give any amount. Every gift to the library, regardless of size, impacts our community. Gifts can be directed toward one of the following funds:
Arts & Humanities
Local & National History
Children’s Authors & Illustrators
Any gift of $5,000 or more allows you an opportunity to establish a named fund in your name or the name of a loved one.
Tribute Gift Envelopes are available for contributions given in memory of a family member/friend or in recognition of a celebration event. The Tribute Gift Envelopes are found on site at the library and on the Donation page of the library’s website.
Gifts can specify areas for the library, such as additional programming, speaker series, expanded collection in a specified topical area, etc.
Gifts of any amount are always valued and allow library staff to enhance current offerings at the library.
Gifts of equipment, trees/landscaping, artwork, real estate and services useful to the library are greatly appreciated.
The library reserves the right to refuse any gift that is not consistent with its mission.
The Hudson Library & Historical Society is committed to long-term relationships with donors and handles donor information with care and confidentiality. Donors’ names and address information will be collected with each contribution but personal information will not be shared with third parties. Also, if you wish to have your contribution remain anonymous, your wishes will be respected.
