Hudson Library cards are free to any resident of the state of Ohio. Identification with current address is required before the card will be issued.
Applicants under the age of 18 require a parent/guardian signature. Parents must bring proof of address when a minor applies for a library card.
The library issues patrons a Clevnet card which allows access to 43 library systems across 12 counties in Northeast Ohio. A $1.00 charge is assessed for a lost or damaged library card.
Patrons are asked to have their library cards for all transactions.
There is a limit of 100 items that may be borrowed at one time.
A patron’s borrowing privileges will be suspended when the amount of unpaid fines reaches $25.00 or there are twenty or more overdue items on their card.
The purpose of overdue fines is not to punish borrowers. Instead, the goal is to have library materials returned so that they can be used by other library patrons.
If your account balance is 60 days past due and equals $50 dollars or more, the library forwards your account to Unique Management Services, Inc., a library materials recovery agency. A service charge of $10 is added to your account. Unique Management Services will contact you to request the return of the overdue materials and payment of all outstanding charges.
Patrons can access their library account remotely. In order to do this, patrons must login to www.clevnet.org and click on MY ACCOUNT. Click here for instructions on activating your online CLEVNET account.
The Hudson Library & Historical Society is pleased to announce it will now offer fine-free status to Hudson patrons age 60 and older for most library materials. The only exceptions will be Hot Picks. Patrons may still incur fines from resource materials borrowed from other libraries. For more information about this new library program or to confirm your fine-free status, please contact the library at 330-653-6658, ext. 1040.
