THE SHIPWRECKS OF LAKE ERIE

Come to the Hudson Library & Historical Society on Wednesday, May 21st at 7:00 pm to hear authors Georgann and Mike Wachter describe their adventures diving and investigating the “Shipwrecks of Lake Erie”.

There are over 2,000 known well-preserved shipwrecks lying at the bottom of our own Lake Erie. What started as a hobby for this husband and wife diving team has evolved into a full-time job investigating the myths and realities behind the thousands of shipwrecks scattered all over the Great Lakes.  The Wachters, who have been diving all over the world, say the best preserved shipwrecks can be found in the fresh waters of the Great Lakes. They have written five books on the subject, numerous magazine articles and are in high demand as speakers.

This program is free and no registration is required. For additional information call the reference department at 330.653.6658, ext. 1010
