Jazz returns to the Library

Jazz returns to the Hudson Library & Historical Society on February 24 at 2 p.m. in the rotunda. The trio “Tre Tet” features music majors from Kent State University.

Karmi James is a cellist from Akron, Ohio. She has played with the KSU Symphony, Tuscarawas Philharmonic, several bands in Peru and Brazil, as well as solo performances throughout Brazil. Those experiences inspired her to fuse classical music with other genres such as folk, Latin jazz and Afro-Peruvian. Karmi is currently pursuing a double major of music performance and music education at Kent State University.

Jon O’Camb is a pianist and vocalist who has played in a variety of bands and continues to perform while at Kent StateUniversity.

Frank McGill has played bass in the KSU Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra, and Concert Band.  He has also plays electric bass with local bands Hobo Brekfist, JP and the Spazz, and with local singer/songwriter James Pequignot.

The concert is free and open to the public. No registration is required. For more information contact the Reference Desk at 330/653-6658 or visit our web site at www.hudsonlibrary.org
