Jazz returns to the Library
Jazz returns to the Hudson Library &
Historical Society on February 24 at 2 p.m. in the rotunda. The trio
“Tre Tet” features music majors from Kent State University.
Karmi James is a cellist from Akron, Ohio. She
has played with the KSU Symphony, Tuscarawas Philharmonic, several
bands in Peru and Brazil, as well as solo performances throughout
Brazil. Those experiences inspired her to fuse classical music with
other genres such as folk, Latin jazz and Afro-Peruvian. Karmi is
currently pursuing a double major of music performance and music
education at Kent State University.
Jon O’Camb is a pianist and vocalist who has played in a variety of
bands and continues to perform while at Kent StateUniversity.
Frank McGill has played bass in the KSU Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra,
and Concert Band. He has also plays electric bass with local bands
Hobo Brekfist, JP and the Spazz, and with local singer/songwriter
James Pequignot.
The concert is free and open to the public. No
