Consumer Protection Answers

Should I keep my landline or use just my cell phone? Where do I dispose of those new-fangled energy efficient light bulbs? What is the proposed FirstEnergy rate hike going to do to my utility bill? Come to the Hudson Library & Historical Society on Monday evening, March 31st at 7:00 pm to have these and other utility-related questions answered by consumer protection advocate Chris Verich of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel (OCC).

Chris is an Outreach and Education Specialist with the OCC and is well-versed in a wide range of utility topics including electric, natural gas, telephone and water services. Among the issues Chris will cover in this discussion are energy efficiency, ways to avoid utility scams and local telephone service rate comparisons.
