Linda Doll, a Hudson resident, is a
recent graduate of Kent State University with a dual
major of Library Science/Information and Knowledge
Management with a concentration in Knowledge
Management. She is planning on becoming a digital
librarian and hopes to use her new skills and
abilities to make information more accessible to
patrons.
Sandy Tucker, a resident of Aurora, has been
a part-time Youth Services Librarian for the Aurora
Memorial Library for the past eight years. Sandy is
a graduate student at Kent State University where
she is pursuing a master’s degree in Library and
Information Science. Her area of concentration is
Children’s and Young Adult Librarianship. Her
expected graduation date is May 2010 and her hope is
to eventually work full-time in one of these areas.
Theresa Young, is
a Hudson resident and a recent graduate from
Denison. Her interest lies in corporate archives
and records management. She will graduate from Kent
State University Library Science in 2010.
Friends of the
Hudson Library has made scholarships available since
1992. These grants do not require repayment. They
are advertised each year between January 1 and April
1 by public notice at six libraries in the area and
Kent State University School of Library and
Information Science. Monies to fund these
scholarships are made available through the sale of
used books and through the Friends of the Library
annual membership drive.
