In July of 1943, the Hudson Library & Historical Society put out an article in the Hudson Times in order to collect and file the information about the men and women of the Hudson community that were involved in national service.  This included all the armed services and branches of the army and navy, and those in foreign services such as the Red Cross, the Field Ambulance Service, WAVES, and WAC.  The Hudson Library & Historical Society  wanted to acquire these records so that historians of the future would have quick and easy access to the information from this historical time.

Jennifer Rummel, Kent State University,   MLIS, August 2003

The following is an index of the men and women involved in national service.
The full publication contains information on their parents, siblings, and children.
Also, some records include date of discharge and educational attainment.
This information has been published by the Hudson Genealogical Study Group
and is available in the Archives.
If you would like to purchase your own copy, contact the Hudson Genealogical Study Group.
