Scope and Content

This collection is a merger of many donations over the past years.  It contains a large presidential collection and a small Ohio collection.  Included are buttons, pamphlets, yard signs, etc.  The collection is arranged by medium not by collector.  Many of the collection's original owners in unknown.  Staff continue to keep the collection growing with donations.  Dates are vague.

Series Descriptions

Series 1. Signs Box #2

This series contains yard signs and posters of candidates and their campaigns.

Series 2. Bumper Stickers, 1f.

Presidential campaign bumper stickers

Series 3. Publications, 12f and Box #2

This series contains mock newspapers, newspaper clippings, newsletters, flyers, pamphlets, books and magazines.

 Series 4. Photographs, n.d. 1f.

This series contains photographs both originals and reprints.

Series 5. Correspondence, 1968, 1f.

This series contains letters to Charles Schollenberger from various presidential campaigns.  These letters are thank you and volunteer information.

Series 6.  Buttons, 2 boxes

This series contains presidential campaign buttons in various sizes, it also includes pocket pins and lapel stickers.

Series 7.  Miscellaneous Items, n.d. 1f.

This series contains two order forms for memorabilia and campaign supplies.

Series 8.  Ohio Memorabilia, 1f.

This series contains campaign buttons, pamphlets, stickers, etc. for Ohio campaigns and issues.

Provenance

A portion of this collection is from Charles Schollenberger, a Hudson resident.  Other contributors are unknown.  Archives staff continues to add to this collection with current presidential campaign memorabilia.
