Biographical Sketch

Kathleen Cooper is the sister of lifelong Hudson resident Ada Cooper Miller.  Kathleen is married to Robert Dautel, whose grandfather is Charles Edgar Poe, a well known Cleveland businessman.  She was born in England and lived most of her life in Hudson.  She had no children.  During her life in Hudson, Kathleen worked at the family owned Cooper's Flowers.

Scope and Content

This collection contains a large amount of family photographs.  It also includes a number of business and personal papers of Robert Dautel's family.  Wills, deeds, book slips of the Poe family comprise a large portion of the papers.  Also included are Robert Dautel's patents.  Some newspaper articles are also included.  This collection does not contain wills, deeds or personal papers of Kathleen Cooper or her husband Robert Dautel.  Created by the archives department is a lineage showing the correlation of Kathleen Cooper to the Poe family, this was done to clarify the reason for Poe family documents in Kathleen Cooper's manuscript collection.

Series 1.  Photographs, n.d. 16f

This series includes a large number of family photos.  The collection includes an inventory of the photographs provided by the Archives department.  The inventory reflects a division of children, adults, outdoors, homes and heavy card photographs.

Series 2.  Papers, 1876 - 1946 6f

This series includes a number of personal papers, including wills, probate records, deeds, correspondence, etc.  Also included are newspaper articles and Robert Dautel's patents.  The collection includes an inventory of these papers provided by the Archives department.  They are not divided by type of document.
