The Greatest Winter Storms of Ohio

 

The Greatest Winter Storms of Ohio will be the topic for a program on Monday, February 8
at 7pm at the Hudson Library & Historical Society.  The speaker will be Tom Schmidlin, Ph. D.,
a meteorologist and professor of geography at Kent State University.

 

Dr. Schmidlin has a B.S. in Meteorology from Iowa State, an MS in Bioclimatology from the
University of Nevada-Reno, and Ph.D. in Meteorology from Cornell University.  He has
conducted field work and other research on severe weather and the risk of death in
tornadoes and hurricanes and is co-author, along with his wife, Jeanne, of Thunder in the
Heartland: A Chronicle of Outstanding Weather Events in Ohio.
