Speaker aims to motivate job seekers
at Hudson Library
Improving your communication and interpersonal skills is the first
step toward recharging your job search,
according to motivational speaker Donald Wayne McLeod. McLeod,
founder of consulting firm LISTEN UP LLC,
will bring his inspirational message to Hudson Library & Historical
Society at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 23.
Entitled “You Are Interviewing 24/7,” McLeod’s presentation will
focus on how to leverage everyday skills, like
listening, remembering names and showing interest in other people,
into valuable networking and employment
prospects.
“It is not about us, but rather how we fit into the grand scheme,”
McLeod says. “Being able to truly connect
with others benefits you professionally, personally and
financially.”
McLeod founded LISTEN UP, an interpersonal communication consulting
company, in 2007. He has spoken at
such companies as U.S. Bank and Pella Windows, and schools including
John Carroll University, Kent State
University, Lakeland Community College and Lake Erie College.
He also has been featured in Inside Business magazine, The
Cleveland Plain Dealer, The News Herald and
NewsChannel 5 WEWS.
The
program is free and open to the public, but registration is
required.
To register, call 330-653-6658, ext. 1010, or email askus@hudson.lib.oh.us.
