Bassoon Duo Performs
The warm and
agile tones of a pair of bassoons will fill the Hudson Library &
Historical Society’s rotunda on Sunday,
March 28 at 2:00 p.m. when bassoonists Cari Dubiel and Margaret
Reagan perform works by Weissenborn, Devienne,
de Boismortier, Schobert, and Roth.
Cari Dubiel
and Margaret Reagan are bassoonists with the Western Reserve
Community Band, which is based in Hudson.
Ms. Reagan, a special education teacher, studied bassoon at
Baldwin-Wallace College and Ashland University with
Renee Dee. She is also a member of the Stow Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Dubiel is a librarian at Twinsburg Public Library.
She played bassoon in the Hiram College Band and has studied chamber
music with Paul Dreisbach.
This free
concert is one of many special events being offered throughout the
year in celebration of the Hudson Library’s
centennial anniversary. All ages are welcome and no registration is
necessary.
