Author of Amish Thrillers to Speak
Murder in Ohio’s Amish country
is the focus of author Linda Castillo’s latest thriller, Pray for
Silence.
Castillo will discuss the book and her writing on Tuesday, June 22
at 7:00 p.m. at the Hudson
Library & Historical Society.
Pray for Silence is the
second in a series featuring a former Amish female Chief of Police
Kate
Burkholder. The first, Sworn to Silence, was given starred
reviews in Library Journal, Publisher’s
Weekly and Booklist and called
“a
teeth-chattering debut thriller” by USA Today and
was a
New York Times bestseller.
Castillo is the recipient of
numerous writing awards, including the Daphne du Maurier Award of
Excellence and the Holt Medallion. She lives in Texas with her
husband.
